Proportioning Valve

Proportioning Valve

KST proportioning valve is a valve that relies on the statics to supply a reduced pressure to an output line in disc/drum brake systems. It’s installed on vehicle's front disc, rear drum brake line and allows you to adjust the rate of pressure rise to the back brakes. Under braking, most vehicles transfer more weight to the front wheels. Eventually full pressure is applied to the rear brakes through the proportioning valve. They provide balanced braking during sudden, hard braking by restricting fluid pressure to the rear brakes.

Excellent Features

Suitable for use with any brake fluid that conforms to DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 standards

Various shapes and sizes depending on your and modifications to the braking system

Provide the correct pressure for front disc and rear drums

Prevent rear wheel lock up as the vehicle's weight is shifted toward the front wheels

Slow down the pressure rise that occurs when you apply the brakes
